About the Swap

The Bendigo National Swap Meet is one of Australia’s largest swap meets. First held in 1975, it has become a long-standing Bendigo tradition, with interruptions occurring only during the COVID-19 period and the local flooding event that followed.

This year we are celebrating 50 years of involvement by the Veteran, Vintage and Classic Club of Bendigo in the Bendigo National Swap Meet. It also marks the final year that the event will be organised by the Bendigo club. However, the swap meet will continue under the ownership and management of the Federation of Veteran, Vintage and Classic Vehicle Clubs of Victoria, with support from its member clubs.

The swap meet is owned by the Federation of Veteran, Vintage and Classic Vehicle Clubs of Victoria and has been managed by the Veteran, Vintage and Classic Club of Bendigo.

Federation member clubs from around Victoria, together with several service clubs in Bendigo, provide additional voluntary assistance.

Income from the swap meet enables the Federation to support 115 clubs through trophy donations and grants for equipment, picnic days, displays, and meeting expenses.
